Dr. Lindsay Galway
Dr. Lindsay Galway is a Canada Research Chair in Social-Ecological Health at Lakehead University. Her work spans the social, natural, and health sciences and aims to bring together multiple perspectives to understand and address complex social-ecological challenges, with a focus on climate change. Her current research activities focus on three core areas:
(1) Investigating the impacts of climate and environmental change on health and wellbeing; (2) Using place-based approaches to respond to, and address, climate and environmental change in ways that promote sustainability, health, and justice; and (3) Supporting integration, interdisciplinarity, and intersectoral action. Lindsay has expertise in climate change and mental health, planetary health, climate justice, community-based participatory research, survey methods, and qualitative methods and has published numerous articles focused on climate change. She is currently leading a national study on climate anxiety among young people in Canada. Dr. Galway's affidavit evidence provided as part of this court action is here:
